When information technology devices have reached their end of life, Greentec's Certified Shred Services are critical to ensuring devices are not a source for data leaks and privacy breaches.
Greentec’s certified shred services are vital in ensuring we can destroy critical and private data from devices. This service is a great option for customers who are not continuing to use their device and want to ensure there is no risk of data becoming exposed or confidential information landing in the wrong hands once they dispose of their device.
Electronic devices that also contain residual data after the Certified Data Erasure process are physically destroyed by Certified Shred.
How are devices shredded?
The device is physically shredded in accordance with R2V3 and NAID AAA Standards. At the time of shredding, devices are audited, sealed for transport, and tracked throughout the entire chain-of-custody process.
Materials are placed into the shredder system, which destroys and reduces materials into small fractions. From here, our process separates the shredded fractions into base recyclable materials, such as steel, aluminum, copper, circuit boards and plastics. Greentec uses a series of metal, optical and infrared detection sorting equipment for separation and purification of shredded materials.
Once a device has been shredded, a Certificate of Destruction is provided to all clients describing the services performed, time of destruction, make, model and serial number for each device that gets destroyed.
Devices can be shredded at Greentec’s plant, or on-site with Greentec’s mobile shredder.
