What is Certified Shred?

How do you properly dispose of information technology that can’t be reused?

At Greentec our number one priority when it comes to your old information technology is to return the value of those items back to you. We work hard to ensure data erasure so that you can maximize the value of your old device(s) and that the device can be safely reused. In situations where devices cannot be reused, Greentec breaks them down into small fractions with our industrial-grade shredder to physically destroy and recycle these devices. Greentec shredders render the devices into small (10- 20mm) fractions to prevent any reuse of the device(s). Fraction materials are then mechanically separated into base commodities for recycling, such as:

  • plastics,
  • steel,
  • aluminum, and
  • copper bearing material

By shredding the items into incredibly small pieces and separating the materials, we are able to destroy all media contained within the device to protect personal data and/or sensitive materials.

We want you to feel confident that your devices are being recycled and destroyed properly. That is why we provide you with certified documentation to give you peace of mind.

Documentation included:

  • Transportation Bill-Of-Lading with signature
  • Certificate of Destruction itemizing each device model with their serial number
  • Certificate of Recycling that includes the weight of each product type

Additional documentation and reports you could order:

  • Chain-of-Custody Manifest
  • Asset Tracking Report

At Greentec we are fully certified for secure data destruction and e waste recycling. We hold many certifications for our services including the NAID AAA, RCMP Controlled Goods, and R2v3 certification for Disposal of IT , Electronics Refurbishing and E-Waste Recycling. This means we have all the expertise and requirements to safely shred your devices and recycle them with care.
